Who makes The Cows End soap?

We do!  All of our products, with the exception of basic essential oils and a few accessories, are made by us in single or small batches from recipes we have developed.  Our soap is cold processed, hand cut and ready to go in many wonderful scents.

What is the size of the soap? Does it last?

Size:  Our soap is handmade and cut, so there is a variation in size.  They range from 5 to 5.5+ ounces.  The variation is due to ingredients and the sopanification process and other ingredients.

Last:  This will obviously vary person by person based on bathing habits.  That being said, we balance the hardness of the soap (how long the bar will last) and lather.  We do not want our soap to melt in a week, but we also want a good lather from each bar.  We think we developed the right base for longevity and lather.  If you want to stretch your bar the farthest, I would suggest a soap sack - but this is also a personal thing (my husband does not get the results I do, so it does vary).

Why are there warnings on your products?

We encourage you to read the warnings on all of our packages and abide by them.  Essential oils are very potent, and like everything, a small number of people will have negative reactions to them.  Undiluted essential oils should never be used directly on the skin, with very few exceptions.  We recommend that you test every product you buy on a small area to be sure your are not sensitive to the ingredients.

There are also some essential oils that can cause issue (increased sensitivity to the sun - photosensitive), be absorb by the baby if you are pregnant, or make a condition worse (i.e. Ylang Ylang can cause headaches in some people).

Also beware that using essential oils on pets could be deadly, depending on the oil and type of animal.  Our advise is to keep essential oils away from animals unless you have done your own research, talked to your vet and decided it is safe for your pet.  Cats in particular seem to be extremely sensitive to a large number of essential oils.

What is your Return Policy?

We currently do not take returns.  That being said, we think customer service is the second most important part of any business, only after the quality of the products.  Please contact us with the order number and details about any issue and we will do our best to make it right.
